How do I post classified ads on eBay?

Two steps are required here.

Find the categories that allow classified ads
Find the hidden tab that turns them on

eBay isn’t making it easy, but here are step by step instructions.

To see what selling categories accept classifed ads:

STEP 1:
From the eBay.com homepage:

Click on “advanced search” leaving all fields blank
Click on “search” leaving all fields blank
Under the “format” drop down box select “classified ads” and click “show” out to the right of the drop down boxes.

The categories that don’t have zeros are elligible for classified ads. No other categories will accept them.

STEP 2:
To set up an ad in one of those categories that allows classified ads:

Click on sell and describe your item
Proceded to the page where you select your category
Select a category that allows classified ads (from above)
Once you proceed to the page titled “Sell: Create Your Listing” scroll down to the section titled “How you’re selling”. At the top of that section you should see four tabs. One of them is “classified ad” ASSUMING YOU’VE CHOSEN A CATEGORY THAT ALLOWS CLASSIFIED ADS FROM STEP ONE ABOVE.
